The After School Cookie Club to launch eddy’s edible spoons into their Kings Cross site as part of the Super Nature celebrations

Sustainability continues to shape the future of street food and grab-and-go concepts, with operators increasingly looking for alternatives to single-use packaging.

A new collaboration in London is pushing that idea even further — replacing disposable cutlery altogether with an edible solution.

Here’s how The After School Cookie Club is teaming up with eddys as part of this year’s Super Nature celebrations.

To celebrate the start of Super Nature 2026, The After School Cookie Club will extend their partnership with the UK’s most sustainable spoon, eddys and launch it into their Kings Cross site on 28th March. Available exclusively with their limited edition apple crumble pot, designed especially to match eddys – at After School Cookie Club spooning has never felt so good.

Delicious first and sustainable always, eddys is made from a blend of five grains and seeds chosen for their depth of flavour, nutritional benefits and texture, and is as versatile as you want it to be. The most sustainable cutlery there is, it’s the only spoon to be eating during Super Nature, ensuring your sustainable appetite is covered.

Following an overwhelming response in their Mayfair site, there is no better time to launch eddy into Kings Cross. Aligning with The After School Cookie Club’s overall ethos, their work with greenly and ongoing carbon benchmarking is all part of their mission to be the lowest carbon footprint sweet treat brand in the UK. Working with eddys and Super Nature is a key step within that journey.

Dedicated to sustainability and aimed at the working community in Kings Cross, Super Nature uses art activations, public installations and cultural programming to highlight circular principles and encourage an environmentally positive mindset. From B corp credentials to reuse, recycle and refill initiatives as well as travelling to work in the greenest way possible, whilst also ‘saving your wardrobe’ no conversation is off limits.

Located in Kings Cross foodie hub, Granary Square in Coal Drops Yard, The After School Cookie Club is delighted to be joining the Super Nature F&B celebrations. The only venue in the UK to be using eddys, it goes way beyond recyclable cutlery and leaves no trace. At the After School Cookie Club, you don’t recycle it – you eat it.

Why this matters for street food traders

As sustainability regulations tighten and customer expectations continue to rise, solutions like edible cutlery are becoming more than just a novelty — they’re a potential competitive advantage.

For street food traders, innovations like eddys highlight how packaging can become part of the customer experience, not just a necessity. Whether it’s reducing waste, improving brand perception or standing out at events, small changes like this can have a big impact.

With more events and locations prioritising low-waste and circular initiatives, traders who embrace sustainable alternatives early may find themselves better positioned for future opportunities.
